ADELAIDE, SOUTH AUSTRALIA - After 4 days in sometimes trying conditions the Delta Hydraulics and Whitehot Motorsport crew of John and Jason White have taken out Targa Adelaide in their first attempt.
The Delta Hydraulics team leverage their precision engineering skills to build the best tarmac rally car in the world.
At their first attempt John and Jason have conquered Targa Adelaide 2012. In often trying conditions they led from the front from day 1 and were never headed.
An inspired choice of soft tyres proved decisive on the first 3 days as conditions more often than not quite wet , cold and slippery. Day 1 claimed a couple of big scalps, Event sponsor Kevin Weeks crashed on SS7 Castanbul and the next stage saw the demise of local hope Sims and Sims in their Nissan GTR.
The next couple of days saw the Whites lead ease out to 44 seconds from Tony Quinn in his GTR.
Day four was fine and the soft tyre choice almost bought the team undone , but the had enough time in hand to hang on from a fast finishing Quinn followed by the Rullo GTR in Third.
The boys also battled a few issues along the way from broken Driveshafts , worn out clutches and an intermittent 'miss' but came out in front at the end.
